Work experience

UX/UI Designer, IDG, Framingham, MA

​2014 - 2020

  • Worked on converting all of IDG’s web properties to use a single CMS, including the creation of editions for the company’s global sites.

  • Re-designed IDG’s global website, IDG.com. Improved UX across the board, resulting in a visually cleaner, easier to use website, greatly increasing traffic.

  • Created user journeys along with storyboards and prototypes to solve problematic areas of conversion and increase user engagement.

  • Successfully implemented e-commerce into IDG sites and created an easy to use tool in the CMS for editors to add products.

  • Spearheaded the creation of an automated Q&A site from wireframes and prototypes to final hi-fi design and working site.

  • Practiced Lean UX in an Agile development environment.

 

Lead UX/UI Designer, Synthenet Corp. / Pongo, Northboro, MA

2008 - 2014

  • Established visual design and branding for client websites based on creative briefs, user research, and client expectations. 

  • Created landing pages and email campaigns for the clients we serviced. 

  • As Lead Designer, created two major re-designs for our main client, pongoresume.com. Including a re-designed HTML 5 version of their web app.

  • Improved UI/UX of Pongo’s website and web app while enhancing and simplifying brand messaging, resulting in higher website traffic and conversion rates.

Visual Designer, Whole Living Magazine, Watertown, MA

​2007 - 2008

  • Designed and re-branded Body+Soul magazine's new web destination: wholeliving.com.

  • Conducted user research, created user journeys, wire frames, and prototypes. 

  • Wrote clear design specs and guides for the development engineers.

  • Managed the legacy transition of old and new content to the site. 

  • Produced and designed collateral, web ads, and email promotions for the site.


 

Digital Imaging Manager, Martha Stewart Living, New York, NY

1998-2007

  • Worked with publishing, merchandising, and marketing departments to manage all phases of digital imaging for print and web applications. 

  • Supervised a four-person full-time staff of imaging specialists. 

  • Created workflows, naming conventions, and best practices rules for re-touching and digital imaging. 

  • Performed advanced digital retouching and color correction. 

  • Implemented a company-wide digital asset management system to allow quick, easy access to thousands of assets and track rights.
